Little Sweet Potato2
Since July, we have slowly been transitioning real foods in to Dorrie’s diet. Two of those, carrots and sweet potatoes, are orange. And since we started using the large jars of sweet potatoes (6oz) a bit before Thanksgiving, she has been turning into one herself! Her hands and feet are getting orange now along with her little nose.
As we can only introduce new foods at a slow rate, it’s still going to be a little while before we can really back off on them to enough of an extent that she’ll lose her carroty hue.
While an orange glow may not have been the goal, it is fantastic to hear that Dorrie is progressing with foods!

It really has been a relief that she’s digestively tolerated them so well. I was very concerned that we’d have a lot of rejection, based on her poor reaction to NeoSure and her seeming issues with minute quantities of baby food a year ago.
I’m hoping so much that eliminating the overnight feeds will help her sleeping.
Now /oral/ eating is a whole other kettle of fish. We’re not even going to worry about it until the winter is over.
