The problem is that the Safe Seat isn’t convertible. So while we’d be good up to 30lbs, we’d be spending about $200 (car seat + stroller) for a replacement that will probably only be used a dozen times or less. :(

If I’d done more research in the beginning we probably would have gone with the Safe Seat line rather than the SnugRide in the first place.

The Greco “Safe Seat” is an infant carrier with base that can hold up to 30 pounds. Mine came with my travel system, but I’m sure that they sell them seperate as well.

Not being a parent, I hadn’t been aware that there’s actually a chicken pox vaccine now. That’s pretty sweet.

I’m happy to report that Dorrie seems to be feeling much better. She’s still sleeping a bit more than normal for her, but her temperatures have been normal, her secretions have gone back to white, and she’s generally back to being playful and active when she’s awake.

Happy Birthday!!! It’s been fun watching you grow into an adorable little girl. Your mom & dad are so proud of you & they have a great sense of humor!!!
