Newbery Winners
I added a list of Newbery Medal Winners over in the sidebar. I thought I’d read more than that! Only one of them did I have to read for school. What’s up with that? I’ve only read 5 out of 85. And 2 of them were this month when I wasn’t even trying! Weird.
Feel free to recommend which ones I should start with.

To start, I’d say The Westing Game and The View from Saturday.
The High King is good, but it’s the last book in a series, and I think it makes more sense if you read the rest of the series first…

I’d definitely second The Westing Game, for it rocks. The View from Saturday isn’t bad, either, but I didn’t like it as much as TWG.
The Grey King is good, but it’s part of The Dark is Rising series, so you should read that whole thing. They’re good and short.
The Hero and the Crown. Might help to read The Blue Sword first.
I’ve read The Midwife’s Apprentice, but I don’t remember much. I think it might’ve been kind of dull.
