Mmmm.. fake dead pig!

I had some Gardenburger sweet and sour pork sitting in the freezer for the longest time. It intrigued me enough to buy it, but I wasn’t ever in the mood to be daring and try it. I should’ve tried it sooner!

I scraped off the vegetables. They looked like green peppers and onions and I don’t like green peppers and onions. So I’m probably not getting the full experience. But it tastes remarkably like their riblets. Which I love, but can’t always find. (And which are also ridiculously high in sodium, but what’re you gonna do?)

So they make a good substitute for the riblets. But there’s less ‘meat’ in the package, so it might not be a better buy.

Probably be very good with rice, but I think I’m out of rice.

Does it taste like pork? I have no freaking clue. :)

In Which I Employ my Scientific Formula to Predict the Winner of “I’d Do Anything”

The winner of I’d Do Anything, the show in which Andrew Lloyd Webber and Captain Jack seek the audience vote to cast Nancy in the musical Oliver, will be: Jodie

Reason #1: The first two people who sing in the first live show are the ones that the panel currently thinks are the strongest, because they want to get the first show off to a roaring start. Those first two people were: Jessie and Jodie

Star Power

So far today (and let’s face it, what are the odds I’ll accomplish more now that it’s 7:30 and it’s a Sunday?)

(Update: I forgot to add in something I did when I first got up.)

New Tactic

So I’m going to start awarding myself gold stars for being productive. I have a list of things and what they’re worth. Paying a bill is 1 point, because I do that online and it’s relatively quick. Doing a load of laundry is 5 points, because it takes awhile and it’s annoying. Writing a story is 100 points, because I need to be doing that. There’s other things on the list too, of course.

For a reward, I’m thinking that if I get 100 points in a week, I can order delivery or spend approximately 25$ on books or random stuff. If I get 200 points, then that gets up to 35$, and so on, but only for every 100 points. 299 doesn’t help. Points don’t roll over.

Here’s what the stars represent:

= .5 points
= 1 point
= 5 points
= 10 points
= 50 points

Thoughts on Smallville Season 7 Episiode 7

Lucky number 7? I think not.

Smallville was opposite other interesting shows this year, so I hadn’t been trying to keep up. In fact, I hadn’t watched a single episode. I started to remedy this a few days ago. All hail the mighty torrent, may it live forever (or until something better comes along).

Spoilers for the season up until episode 7.

Dunkin Donuts Jelly Conspiracy

My favorite donut hole is a jelly donut hole. So when I get some Munchkins, I ask for ‘mostly’ jelly, and glazed and chocolate glazed. It never fails, however, that they ignore the ‘mostly’ part. They are downright stingy with those jelly Munchkins!

Today, out of 25 Munchkins, I got 6 jelly, at least 12 chocolate, and the rest glazed. Sounds to me like that was ‘mostly’ chocolate! Is that what I asked for? Nooo. It’s like he knew that the chocolate was my least favorite of the three. I just like a little variety.

Are the usually running low on jelly when I go in there? Well, it looks like it, but you have no idea what they’re hiding in the back. Does that mean they’re trying to save some for the other customers who come after me? Well, they should’ve made more then!

Do the jelly ones cost more to make? Tough. You priced them equally, so you should treat them equally.

What if it’s some combination of the two? They cost more to make, so maybe they don’t make quite so many, so they’re always running low. Or maybe they’re not really running low, but love to make it seem that way so you won’t be greedy and ask for a lot.

Well, I’m decided now. Next time I’m asking for half jelly and half glazed. I’ll throw them a bone. They can (and will) give me 13 glazed and only 12 jelly.

Stay tuned, because if this ‘half’ method yields an even greater disparity, I’ll let you know. And if they seem to run out, maybe I’ll be bold enough to ask if they have more in the back.
