I'm posting this here because it's quite in my blog theme at the moment. And because I want to remember to look after they've posted the 2002 ones.
So, here's the anime pumpkins.

This page has various lists such as "The Things I Will Do if I Am Ever the Sidekick". Takeoffs of the Evil Overlord one, of course. But what I was wondering and figured you could enlighten me, dear readers, is if there are some anime ones? Specifically shoujo, mahou shoujo, CLAMP, bishounen ones.
And if there aren't, or if they suck, let's do it. :)

This comes by way of corechat and in turn came by way of Neil Gaiman's blog. Something to alleviate boredom for 20 minutes or so (depending on how fast you read.)
"The Well-Tempered Plot Device" by Nick Lowe.
I still have those character writeups for that Eddings-esque fantasy novel we were going to write, guys. And by guys I mean the pixie and the bug.

New blog layout! Could you tell? I wanted to do a Halloween theme. Initially I was searching for the kitties from Wish, but when that search proved futile, I thought.. what's scarier than bunnies?

I've had a number of search queries for Trish Thuy Trang and kpop/jpop/asian pop mp3s in general, so I shall be kind and provide a link. This site has a number of Trish mp3s. At least, so they claim. Whether they're actually sung by her, I can't say.
And this site has Rage Beat and other Gravi mp3s, as well as Dreams Come True in English and Korean. Ie, Trish's version and SES's version.
That should make some of you web surfers happy. :)

Nobody's been leaving me comments. So here's something to comment on. And I don't care if you've seen it already. Nyea.

WHY YAHOO SUCKS In 100 Words or More
I just got out of the shower. It did nothing to lessen my incredible annoyance and frustration at Yahoo. About an hour ago, I wrote an incredibly involved and, I think, insightful post on BSL and the wizarding community of Britain. This was quite long in physical length, but it was also quite time-consuming to research and write. So, naturally, Yahoo lost it.
Well, of course it did, stupid, you should've expected it. The thing is, I /did/. I took the precaution of copying the text before clicking the post button. And it posted and everything was hunky-dory. Or so it appeared. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't with it enough to check the message list to see that it actually /did/ post. And I went on my merry way, posting something that involved a bit of copying and pasting. Bzzzt, there goes the last of my insightful post from my clipboard.
Why were you using Yahoo's post feature anyway? It sucks! Well, yes, it sucks big time. The post window is too small and there's no option to change it for one thing. It drops more posts than it sends for another. And I wouldn't use it at all, if not for one thing.
Yahoo set my primary address to Autoresponder about three months ago. Now when I try to send a message from that address, using Pine btw, Yahoo bounces it back telling me I'm set to Autoresponder and to Email their support address if I have further concerns. Well, Emailing that address is a bunch of bunk. I doubt they've read any mail sent there in /years/. So following further instructions, I go to the website and search their help pages. Naturally, how and what Autoresponder is and how to get your address unset from it is all spelled out in plain English and in great detail.
NOT.
So I click on the 'No' button and get sent to their feedback form. There's even a Subject header 'How do I reset my "Auto-responder" status?'. Great! Now we're getting somewhere. Or at least, we would, if Yahoo actually receives and processes these requests. I've sent about half a dozen in the last three months. No response from them whatsoever and my primary address is still set to Autoresponder.
Well, dipstick, why did you set an Autoresponder on your address in the first place? You get what you deserve! And I'd almost be inclined to agree with that opinion, except I never set any such thing. I was forwarding messages from a ML, using Yahoo's website's forward feature. Apparently, I forwarded too many too quickly and Yahoo's software in all its brilliance decided that meant my address was sending automatic messages. What the frell?! My address had nothing to do with it; I was using the website!
So that is why Yahoo sucks.
And I'll be copying this post before posting it.

The What the Frell? of the Day:
Listed in Borders newsletter under Bestsellers:
Star Trek: Captain's Peril by William Shatner (available 10/15)
http://borders1.m0.net/m/s.asp?HB7084242147X1581316X130427X
Now let me get this straight.. it will be released in a week. But it's already a bestseller. Must have gotten a whoooooole lot of preorders, right? But.. /dude/, it's Shatner! His books SUCK. Now, granted, he didn't actually write it and his 'ghost' writers are the Reeves-Stevens this time. But there's a principle here.
Go look at the book on Borders site if you want, but I'm not providing an actual link to it.

Gripe of the Day/Week/Whatever:
People who list their mp3 playlists on the web. WHO FRIKKING CARES? It just makes it incredibly difficult for those of us searching for a specific mp3 to find it.
So to all of you who have posted a playlist on the web that includes the word 'mp3' on it anywhere, a sound and hearty smack!
