18:44 ~ gaze at the moon

I just saw someone write it pokermon. And it occurred to me. The generation that grew up on Pokemon is now the generation that's obsessing about poker. Is there a connection? You decide.

Yahoo Sucks.

Yahoo changed its tv listings. At first I thought it was just a bug or temporary problem, but it's been like this for two days now. The listings are all large and spaced out instead of being tight and compact. But the largest problem is I can no longer see the tv channels! So I know what's on and when, but not where!

So yesterday I tried to submit feedback. First of all, finding any sort of feedback form that's appropriate is next to impossible. I finally found one that should've done. And today in my mailbox I find it bounced! This was a feedback form on their own site going to an address on their own site.. and it bounced. Brilliant, Yahoo, really.

You suck!

02:25 ~ gaze at the moon

Epinions posted the IS (ie, money) very very late today. I'm surprised anyone was still at the office, frankly. Anyway... *drum roll* I made 1.55 in July! That nearly doubled my total. For those keeping track, that means I have 3.12 in my account. If I hadn't let my account expire, I would've had enough for a 10$ check now. :P

More details later maybe.

PS. None of my reviews were about lobsters.

19:00 ~ gaze at the moon

Supposedly Lycos's largest search recently is lobster. At least according to Dad. So we'll see if this idea pans out.

13:32 ~ gaze at the moon

Epinions is late with the Income Share for July. They're supposed to post it on the 15th. I am really not impressed with them over there. If not for the community of writers working hard to make it a success, they would be so dead in the water. If anyone is interested in starting a competing company, let me know.

Anyway, here's my latest review.

Sky High -- Too Good To Be a Disney Movie

15:55 ~ gaze at the moon

I started to write my Harry Potter theory out, but it mostly turned into me looking up all my quotes and.. well, in general it devolved from an essay into an outline with notes. I need to wait until my interest in going back to it picks up. I also need a book 5 pdf on my laptop, since I need to hunt up quotes from there.

Anyway, without spoiling, here's another theory. Hardly unique, but book 6 sort of makes it almost proved.

Dumbledore is a phoenix Animagus.

Anyway, here's some more Epinions-pimping.

Fudoki by Kij Johnson
Sorcery and Cecelia by Patricia C. Wrede and Caroline Stevermer

If you liked The Fox Woman you should check out Fudoki. It's about a cat woman and a Japanese princess. If you liked A College of Magics or even if you didn't, because I didn't, you'll like Sorcery and Cecelia. And obviously if you're a fan of any of the authors, you should check them out.

00:02 ~ gaze at the moon

I was reading the wrong thing when I posted last time. The July prize was 100$ B&N card (as my memory told me it was.. teach me to not read carefully). The August prize is 100$ Borders card. So, hurray for good prizes! I managed to squeak in a review of Fudoki for another July entry. That means I had 2 for July. See if I can do better for August.

Fudoki - A Japanese Cat Tail, er.. Tale

Now to go update my read list.
