It’s a WA bonanza. Anne/Sumire posted on the doujinshi ML today. She has a lot of stuff for sale. (Looks like she’s still in Japan.)

Note to self: Look through it all when you get home from work.

Note two: Don’t buy anything, you’re broke.

All right, shoujocon report. Except most of you who read this were there. So it’s going to be relatively short.

Wed: Run around insanely all morning. Drive drive drive. Traffic in NYC. Wait for people to call at the hotel and they don’t. Stay up rather late working on stupid sample plushie.

Thu: Wait for people to call at the hotel and they don’t. Meet Jun and Jen and go to Olive Garden. Have several meetings. Work on putting badges together. Finish the video schedule and the plushie pattern and instructions and go to Kinkos and wait and wait and look at the ecchi bears.

Fri: Get up. Go set up the Info Booth. Get inkling that we do not have enough gophers to staff it. Spend most of the day sitting there, with break for dealers’ room at 1:30pm, CLAMP discussion at 3 and a trip to Suncoast to purchase KareKano for 6pm showing. Grab some food. Head to video room to run Gravitation marathon. Sleep.

Sat: Get up. Go check on Info Booth. Stay for a little while, but then must run to craft store. Spend from about 12pm - 9pm in Workshop room. Come out to find Info Booth closed up. Wander about looking for something to do, but then just go back to room. Play Angelic Layer GBA game and go to sleep.

Sun: Get up, go to SAS meeting at 8. Then Concom meeting at 9. Come down to find no one has opened Info Booth. Decide as there is no one to staff it, no point to opening it up. Quick run to store, but craft store is closed until 11 and must be back by then. Manage to get through second plushie workshop without mob riot. Hang out and help a bit. Last trip to DR (Gohou Drug #2!). Hang out. Go down to Conops and work on cleanup. Staff Party briefly. Back to room. Play HP Trivia game with Jun and Jen and watch Adult Swim. Sleeeeeeep.

Mon: See our mad packing skillz! Somehow manage to stuff everyone and everything into the car. Go to IHOP. Drive around a bit, hang out at B&N. Go to airport. Drive drive drive. Meet up with Kenpi’s brother. Drive drive drive. Come home and tackle swelling email inbox. The end.

And yes, the archives are totally messed up. Blogger’s issue, not mine. :P

Gyah. Well, this took a lot longer than it should have. Anyway, new layout! Hopefully this will be more to Kenpi’s liking than the last one. If the main image doesn’t load for some reason (it has been weird on my comp), right click and ’show picture’ (in IE anyway) will bring it up. I’m not sure why it’s behaving oddly.

Jun, you might find this interesting. I ran into someone who was having a similar problem so started doing a search on it.

Ok, time for one of the dreaded To-Do lists.

It’s just so damn satisfying to strike things out.

Things to do before Shoujocon:

* finish sample plush 1
* make some attempt at sample plush 2
* write up instructions for workshop
* fix pattern
* run off copies of both instructions and pattern
* make final supplies check
* finish schedule & send to C.
* organize documents for year & burn to CD
* send off receipts for ice cream
* script Qs 1-6
* script Qs 10-25
* script Qs 30-40 (ok, so this is cheating because someone else is doing these, but… they’re off my list!)
* pack
* make store run
* clean up kitchen
* print out directions
* more to come, no doubt…

Yet another reason to move to Canada.
