Two new coasters at Six Flags: New England this summer. It may be time to go again — skipped it last summer (though J and I went to Great Escape). Got burned out two summers ago when I went twice in 10 days. It’s a long trip.
The DSL has been returned to normal. The guy came yesterday afternoon in the time period he was supposed to (nothing short of miraculous with service people these days. Mom has been stood up several times just this past week waiting for the guy to come and fix her heater.) and determined (1) it was definitely not working, (2) it was not working outside where the telephone line comes into the building. So off he trotted to the central switchbox where he discovered that it did work there. Conclusion: Verizon broke something between the central control and our condo. He opened a ticket and it was repaired before dinnertime. Amazing.
But just as the DSL is fixed, something is weird with one of the circuit breakers. It flipped, as it occasionally does, because the microwave overwhelms the circuit it’s on and there’s not much we can do about that until we redo the kitchen. But it won’t flip back. So there’s no light in the kitchen at the moment.
