Just what every woman needs. A $12 million dollar bra.
Just what every woman needs. A $12 million dollar bra.
Finally! I finished going through my old posts and giving them all titles so they’ll navigate properly in WordPress.
Now I need to decide if I want to import my old comments or not.
From the Boston Globe
Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., last week slipped through the Senate a resolution naming Ripon as the place where the Republican Party had its first meeting, when a local lawyer called residents together March 20, 1854, to rail against the spread of slavery.
New Hampshire’s two Republican senators unwittingly approved the resolution as it was unanimously passed during a routine series of motions.
And this was even long before Gregg was distracted by all those lottery winnings.
The paving project that was begun before Columbus day (and was supposed to be finished before Columbus Day) is still ongoing.
After a whole week in which not one construction worker even showed his face on the street, some new construction guys returned on Monday to start installing some new curbs along the road. This process (which was supposed to have been done already) would take two days, according to the management company. Ha ha. As of Thursday, they appear to be more or less finished, though no markings have been painted onto the curbs to show which parking space belongs to whom.
The latest word now is that they’ll be done paving next Tuesday. (Which will bring us to a total of 11 days of construction for a project that was originally 1 day -> 4 days -> 8 days). I don’t believe them. But I’m hoping that they will actually finish by the end of the next week. And hopefully before it snows. The road is currently in no shape for a plow to deal with it.
In other news, both our house and the house next to us have a random piece of rainpipe sticking in our front bushes. I walked all around the house but I did not see any gaps in our gutters or rainpipes, so apparently these pieces are just there for decoration.
I just got an email that some person had added me as a contact at reunion.com.
But I have no idea who this person is. Now, girls may change their names after they get married, but I don’t even remember anyone with that first name.
I wonder now if it was a particularly clever bit of spam, but if so, what was the point?
I’m not a fan of Judd Gregg and never will be. I didn’t vote for him and I won’t, because I don’t agree with anything that he stands for.
Which is why it’s especially galling to find out that he managed to win over $800,000 at Powerball.
Rich Republican White Guys do not need to win any more lotteries, thank you!
As I’m going through and adding titles to all my old blogger posts, I found this comment from over a year ago.
And they finally did! I don’t remember if I wrote about this or not. I certainly commented on it to other people. But finally, astoundingly, Diet Coke now tastes just like regular Coke. As long as you buy the kind with Splenda in it. (Coke Zero on the other hand, has identical ingredients to Diet Coke with aspartame, only in another order.)
I’m still waiting for them to get the Splenda version in restaurants.
A few months ago, E had brought up the idea of going on a cruise next spring, and the more we thought it over, the better the idea sounded. So as she notes, we’ve done our research and selected a date.
I’m quite pleased with the price, too, as it’s right around the target I had mentally set. We’ll obviously end up spending a bit more in incidentals, but without any travel costs, since we depart and return to Boston, we should be able to keep those to a minimum.
But I will need a new bathing suit.
I’m slowly adjusting the layout here to be what I want. I’m used to blogger, so it’s taking me a while to get in the swing of WordPress and all the tags it uses.
Once I’ve figured out how to add all the features I want and work with all the various templates, I’ll actually take a stab at a redesign and toss out this default blue thing. But it works okay for now.
